This would also be a magnificent view at sunrise or sunset- judging from the shadows cast by the people on the pier, I would assume you could even incorporate the pier itself with the sun. Outdoor shots with clear skies and direct sunlight from mid morning to mid afternoon have some very harsh lighting- and catching this same environment in less harsh conditions might make for a more powerful picture.
