I was browsing around for a new tutorial in Bryce and came across this site forum especially this one: http://www.photochopz.com/forum/non-photoshop-tutorials/31818-how-create-cool-3d-photochopz-letters-bryce-part-2-a-2.html
What strike me was not the block but the ingenious way of using a sphere for HDRI/IBL effect. So even if you are using 5.5, you can still get the HDRI or IBL effect. Just follow part 2 of the tutorial and you'll see. Sadly there are no part 3. Suffice it to say, that is okay. Just the fact that 5.5 users can use the technique to implement or imitate IBL effect of 6.6 makes up for the lack of continuity.
