Description

Just me playing with my favorite character, Isolde, from Gypsyangel, and putting her through some screen test paces. Always thought that Isolde would look good as a Goth Girl, and had never done a blue light portrait before, so I took the opportunity here. Her Chrystalline hair was originally silver but it turned this lovely shade of blue under the lights and so I gave her a set of blue eyes to match. Isolde comes with a striking set of eye reflects and I found some that enhanced her kinda sad look. Just wish that I had the purple eyes that are gonna come with the new Isolde add on pack; I can hardly wait! Also some time ago my dear friend Schonee had gifted me her magical Dark Nights 3 set, which has some truly excellent goth backgrounds. It was about time that I got around to using this great set. So all these things just sorta came together and here is Isolde as "Blue Girl." Thank you Schonee, your Dark Nights 3 set is just outstanding. I am sorry that I made you wait so long hun, but I hope the wait was worth it. All your background sets are amazing, but in this one you have truly exceeded yourself. Previous Isolde

Very lovely work. She does indeed look sad - great emotion on her face and in her body language. Wonderful little 'extra touches' - cool little tattoos and fingernails. Love the blue and purple combo of colors. Really love way to show off schonee's background. Nicely done!

Roxy, I agree with you that purple eyes would have taken this picture over the top, but as it is, it is still stunning. I am really liking the border you did for this piece, it adds so much to the overall look, without detracting from the subject of the work. You have really done an outstanding job of capturing a real feeling of sadness mixed with something else that I can't quite find the words for. They always say that people see a part of themselves in an artist work, maybe that is what I am seeing. You are to blessed of a woman and artist to make art this melanchoy, it is a side that suits you as well as yuor warrior babes do, but the pain and loneliness. I for one am glad to know you and if you ever need a friend or a shoulder, or even a strong back and a shovel to bury the bodies, I am here for you. Roy
