Description

Besides my normal work, I help out elderly ladies with house cleaning. This one lady has this harrow that she brought over from Idaho when she moved here about 10 years ago. After I had scrubbed her kitchen floors (she had hip-replacement surgery and can't quite get to the floor to scrub it), I went outside with my camera and took several pictures of this harrow. Part of me wants to restore this to its original, working condition, while the other part wants to leave it as is. I hope that you will enjoy this bit of the past as much as I do. Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my last upload, 'Blinded Anguish'. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Tuesday Mike

I suggest to walk away from it Mike - LOL... it's old and you start shineing it up to restore it, you may find out a part or two is missing OR needs to be replaced.... I don't think you'll find the part at your local Hardware store - LOL

I think you should definitely restore it to its original state, it would look amazing. Mind you I can understand why you wouldn't want to do it either, there is something about an old tumble down trap. Is it one of those things that you put a pony in the front, ie a pony and trap? Great capture! hugs Jane xx

I'd be the same way...love to see it restored but wow so awesome to keep it as it is....it is an awesome piece of the past Mike. Maybe if there was a way to keep it from deteriorating more would help me decide to keep it as it is...??

Mmmmmm .. I'm thinking leave it .. but if you were to restore it, it would last a lot longer. Geez .. glad it isn't my decision to make. Awesome shot, I love stuff like this.

Oh wow! That is a fantastic shot and an incredible piece of work there! Personally, I think it looks fantastic as is. Sometimes weathering can be a stunningly good thing. Excellent shot!

Very nice capture of some classic machinary. I take it is like a riding farm machine to make the furrows in the ground or something like that!
