Neil Wilson has been doing a lot of work on the USS White Plains, CVE 66, Thought I'd say thank you by doing a post for him.. Looks Great Neil!! Beautiful Job!!!! Thought I'd add a few Wildcats in VC-4 trim

PS.. In answer to Gaius (Jean-Claude) question, hopefully the remaining Zeros are on their way home or at the bottom of the sea... The White Plains got of relatively un-scathed in this battle, dodging two Kamikazes and the artillery barrage. The Destroyers took most of the damage and losses. Dad has nothing but admiration for the men that served on them and the pilots that harassed the Battleships even after they had run out of ammunition and bombs. They took on the Best of the Japanese Fleet and managed to hold them back,inflicting a great deal of damage on a much larger and stronger force.( Battle ships against a small group of escort carriers and destroyers)

Great render, Don. Nothing like Wildcats in the pattern. The jeep carriers did a wonderful job on all liquid fronts of WWII, particularly Taffy 3 at Leyte Gulf.
