Description
This part of Alleppey (Kuttanad) is the region with lowest altitude in the India. It is below the sea level.Area is mostly coverd by paddy feilds. One of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. This place is Just 5km from my house. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuttanad
Here you can see that the hut, tree and land behind are below the water level.

The hut is made out of braided coconut palm leaves.
Near the tree you can see a traditional irrigation system worked by a wooden wheel.

Those birds have an interesting tail. They are very skilled in catching honey bees. So bee keepers shoot them at sight. Once I was a bee keeper.
