Description

The eagle's nest So strong and so high So you can watch and wait For your prey To come your way. Credits: Another in my 'Spirit of the Wild' series, created in Photoshop CS, using several photo references of nests, painting techniques, Eagles by jaguarwoman, blended with a Painted Worlds background by pen-is-envy, and a modified background by The_Slinger. I've done two versions. This painting is more muted. Tomorrow I'll post the vivid version to see which one you prefer. This was inspired by my brother, who recently bought a vacation home in Oregon that sits high atop a hill overlooking the water, which he affectionately calls 'The Eagle's Nest. Hope you enjoy. CC

This is awesome. Coincidently, you posted this about the same time as I discovered this http://www.hancockwildlife.org/ They have some live cams on eagle nests. The Sydney one actually has 3 babies which is very unusual. (note-the dead bird is not an eaglet-it's a seagull)
