My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Ā
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made!Ā :)
Ā
In March, 2013, we sold ourĀ home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time.Ā What a blast!Ā There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
Ā
If Iām missing from Renderosity from time to time, Iām busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!Ā

perfection & beauty. You couldn't have said it better. It's beautiful! (And I don't know if you even thought about it, because you write with genuine intuition, but there's beautiful symmetry in your poem: It begins & ends with two lines, even same # of syllables, which is gently harmonious. And then you have 3 lines, 5 lines, 4 lines, then their reverse...then back to the lovely ending. I'm not being technical, because we really 'feel' these things; we feel them the way we sense harmony in the petals of a flower, where each one is different from each other, but so much alike. Your harmonies are present the way they are in your beautiful images.) This is beautiful; I hope everyone has people in their lives like this!

There is a wholeness, a completeness here in your poem. Silly as this comparison sounds, I have a huge leather recliner...big enough that two people can squeeze into it. It is perfect for a grandfather and a grandson to read in:) Or for me to sit in and bring my 20 pound dog up into until she wants back down to flop full-out on the carpet. When no chores are lurking, there is a completeness here too. The only thing my chair can't do is give me a kiss or make me a cup of coffee:) But there is a sense of comfort here...one that can be wallowed in and enjoyed. That's the sense I get of your feeling in your poem. Am I close? I'm laughing a bit here. I typically never use the word wallow. But earlier today I was reading some ole time description of my hometown of Leavenworth here. In the mid-19th century, Leavenworth was the shipping portal for the westward expansion of the frontier. Drovers, wagon trains, horses, and oxen were everywhere. There was an ox wallow right down town. A place where oxen could relax (wallow) after pulling a wagon in from St. Louis or from a return trip from Santa Fe or Denver. If this entire comment sounds a little spacey...it probably is...but I'm going to send it anyway and hope you enjoy the ramble with me. ...As I've enjoyed going through experiencing your day with you. Well done my friend.

This is writing of the highest order - clear, concise, sincere and beautiful. For me, wallowing in Bill's sofa captures the essence, but not the depth of your words...
