Description
Still looking through Haeckel's illustrations, I thought this xenodream 2.2 object might be of the order cyrtoidea. I googled cyrtoidea to see if I could find more images, and I got a link to more haeckel illustrations...an entire collection of the drawings made on a 4 year voyage of the H.M.S. Challenger beginning in 1872.

Those working with xenodream should take a look at these plates. They're great inspiration for modelling.
I know this image doesn't exactly jump out and grab you, but I wrestled with the lighting of this for probably 4 or 5 hours and just had to quit. Lighting is definitely the most difficult aspect of xd.

Haekel's engravings are truly spectacular and your XD versions are pretty cool too. (Love it when I'm forced to look up an unknown word -- found it Googling, but shame on Collins and the Oxford Concise!)
