Description

Well, I think the years of diligence and practice are paying off. I suddenly bit the bullet and played with camera focus and perspective controls and voila... I finally get the look I have been looking for. I get the foreshortening I have been trying to achieve by doing things the HARD way! Haha...why oh why do I do things the HARD way??? As usual, I used the Blender 3 Toon actions and Shadowplay actions to take the 3D render to a 2D comic look. What I have found is that you get a washed out effect though that isn't quite what I want so in Photoshop, I did the simple approach of using the brightness control under edit to bring down the light and voila...no more washed out look. The suit is by Royloo (dude the suit is cool) and is called Trooper A3. I had to render the hair seperately and then cut part of it to put behind Cricket's head. Then I finally finished the work up with a stroke set on 3. Now I think I have something I can use to get a really great looking comic going. Enjoy and please leave a comment.

Because doing things the hardway is the best way to really learn how things work. Cricket's look and feel are super...bit strange to see her wearing something tho (LOL)

It looks great! I'll get back to you about it later - I'm in the throws of moving, and things are a bit chaotic...
