Description

okay, i'm still working on the mist because it looks really messy, i still have to add the children and river and girl on the other side, ummmm i think that's it for Part 1 out of 5 :p please, all comments help, so please leave them ------ everything in here i've pretty much made myself the swirly spike things are cones malformed in amorphium, the guy is default P4 male with some zygote pants, the mist is spheres with volumetric textures to them, ummmm, the tree popped up randomly while pressing the "tree" button in bryce :p and ummm that's it the sky and other textures are presets i fiddled with

Hey my friend, this is looking great. the mist cone things look like some evil or what not, chasing the guy. I like the way you have the tree in the distance, under the light..nice. This is really looking good. Can;t wait to see it finished. As for suggestions, aside from fixing the mist a bit (and maybe putting hair on your guy??), there is nothing I would change. Very nice work.

i dig the mist that's following him - i wouldn't do much to it at all. the fog and the ocean, however, could use a bit of work. otherwise it's looking great. nice work!

The idea is good.... The 'attacking mist' is good, maybe could do with post work on it just to blur the edges ( I say postwork because that might be easier than trying to get a blurred edge with bryce or have you tried making the material using fuzzy setting top right in texture editor ). Foreground rock texture and shape is very nice, looks rigged and sharp. The swirling river is good and the mist over that only needs a slight touch-up. I would add more trees to the background, vary shape and texture, if you put about 6 or 7 of them in a curve around the island it will make it look like a forest, dark and evil....and yeah, the guy could do with hair, or maybe a hat ;)

heheh well, two peopple've said this so far, so ummm it's nto really a river :p heheh it's just the cloudy texture that looks like that the tree IS meant to be alone, because there will be other elements added around it, and as far as the guy goes, if you have any good hair to suggest, feel free i can find lots of good hair for women, but none for men i need hair that'll swirl left and right

Not Bad, but I think you should do post work on it in Photoshop or soemthing to clean it up a bit. If you have any other 3d apps I would reccomend exporting the scene to a program with a better renderer. With Lightwave for instance you would be able to add some nice subtle lighting with radiosity, and caustics.

Great WIP! I really like your concept behind this image. My only suggestion would be a fog in the distance... the sharp terminating line of the horizon distracts from the foreground focus. Hope to see an update soon! :o)
