Description
Ok I have had my arm twisted and decided to post, lol.
As you are no doubt awaare Alan and I had a trip out on Saturday the 18th April, down to Stratford-upon-Avon. The city's most famous son being Shakespeare. We weren't too interested in the bard ourselves but the largest Butterfly Farm in England(reputedly) is in this fair city, and that is where we headed for as soon as the coach stopped. We had a grest if somewhat short stay at the farm and took several photo's. The plan is to return in my car rather than a coach as on the journey down(100+ miles) we had to take a detour due to an accident on the M6 motorway and that added something like two hours to our journey. So that meant at least two hours less to visit the place, even though the driver delayed our departure by 45 minutes.
We still had an enjoyable time there and even managed to get a couple of shots of Shakespeares birthplace. The plan next time is to arrive early in the morning and walk around the center capturing the historic buildings before the tourists(like us) get there and stand around blocking the view.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. If anybody knows the name of this species please tell.
Thanks Danny for the ID (Heliconius numata)
