BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

On the eastern side of the Sierra Mountains there are many stunted trees growing from rocky cliffs and landscapes. I always marvel at the stubborness of mother nature. This has a marvelous pov and composition. Wonderful mood.

now that's a striking composition. all roads lead back to the central figure, the central figure has a good amount of space around it, and a strong contrast between busy and sparse, and geometric and organic. very nice!

Extremely interesting and also a very beautiful shot.

Beautiful pov and composition, the rocks lead the eye straight to the solitary tree! Very lovely!

The framing of your shot is excellent. I love how the objects in your scene forms lines leading to the tree which is so unique. Masrvelous shot!

I'm inclined to think they cling on solely for us photographers ;) this is classic and excellent.. the light catching the bit of green in the foreground is very nice and makes me go back on my initial thought this would have been a good b&w (still may be, but think the colour works well)
