Been doing this over a year now and I'm still not quite sure how to define it. Is it art or not? Can we be said to be really creating our images, given that we're using computer programs and models made by others? And, for that matter, what is its official title? Personally I call my work "using Daz Studio because of a total inability to draw or paint." It doesn't exactly trip off the tongue. I suppose it doesn't matter in the end. As PG Wodehouse said, it makes me happy and keeps me out of public houses.
My main influences are Manet, Edward Hopper, Caravaggio and Pieter Bruegel. The first two gave me an interest in realism, the third created an addiction to light and shade, and the last nurtured my overall misanthropy.

All my renders are there, including the ones I hate. There's also a rag-bag of assorted writings and photos.
I've also recently started a blog about this whole business:

Thanks to everyone who's submitted Free Stuff to this site - especially some of the wonderful Vicky textures. Sorry to anyone who I don't credit. It's down to the disorganisation of my hard drive rather than an evil heart.

Interesting image. Both characters look to be sharing a little mutual frustration. I like the little girl's outfit. Cool.

Wonderful image, I think the niece is consoling her aunt about something. Or maybe they are playing a game, lol. Excellent posing and expressions

You did a good job on this one Andrew as it is very thought provoking. Seeing the child trying to console her shows how grownup the child can be and how childish the adults can sometime be
