Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

WOW. Mother nature wins

"poor" old house!!! Nature is the winner! Great photo!

Reminds me of this old poem: "There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile. He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse, and they all lived together in a little crooked little house." Cool shot, Errol!

A great image to tell more of the story. People who can least afford it, get hammered by water, earth, wind and fire. It looks like some lives were left in a shambles on this spot, and feels sad to me.

Wonder what happened to this house; wind or water? It's sad, but it makes a great image!

It looks to me like the pure weight of the bamboo has dislodged this small cabin. Fascinating photos Errol.

Reminds me of a place not far from here, nature takes over. I tripped and fell trying to take a look!! Just a scratch, but I'll be more careful!!

If not for my insane fear of snakes and large insects that bite and sting, I'd be all over this place with you. It looks like a great adventure and I'm used to walking in old lumber so watching for nails is nothing new to me. I do like the way the land is swallowing the house. A lesson to be learned - mother nature will win every time...sometimes it just takes a little longer than you might think. :-)
