Description

It really does look as if the birds had been out for a party the night before and rounded the evening off with a curry. :-D I had real trouble deciding which genre to place this one in. I considered 'Humor' as I find it very amusing - but I doubt the car owner will. I also thought about 'Horror' as the possible reaction of the owner to the sight of this mess. I was also tempted by 'Challenge' when imagining the difficulty of cleaning it all off. In the end, I went with 'Unspecified' as, really, there is no appropriate category for it. Hope it's not your car. :-) ------------------------------- Original Photograph 14-Apr-2009

What did the owner do? Run a chick over? They certainly don't like him! You could have chosen Transportation.

Too funny, too bad you didn't get a shot of the owners reaction. I'm assuming it's parked under a tree.

See what happens when you piss off a bird, he goes back and gets the rest of the family to leave their revenge. I wonder if the owner used an ice scraper to get this all off?

I agree with you a difficulty in finding an appropriate catergory, but in the section where it's helpful in finding your photograph I'd have mentioned all of the above! Everywhere I go the camera goes I also would have seized this opportunity for the capture, knowing me I'd most likely would have hung around to capture the reaction.

...there is an interesting analogy here...actually several...I mean,it's bird sh#t on a car...several birds I would hope...if I were the owner I would start biking to work...nature's subtle revenge...I love it...the photo that is....Ray!

LOL Oh well...I guess if you can sleep in the wrong position you can park in the wrong spot :-) I totally agree with your dilemma on category for sure!:-)

To answer a few of the above comments: Yes, the car is parked under a tree. I've no idea what the drivers reaction to the mess was as the car is still parked there just over a week later and still caked in droppings. There do not appear to be any fresh additions to the muck so it looks like it was a one-off all-out attack. I'm not sure how long it has been there. I first noticed it a couple of days before I took the picture and, even though I always have the camera with me, It took a day or two to pluck up the courage to photograph it in case the birds came for me next. :-D
