Description

Hi there - now it's weekend and the weather prophets promised sunshine - I hope I get some god shots. This is Anemone nemorosa - I tried to get a nice DOF-Effect by usind the !manual! ;-) settings of my camera. Hope you like it a bit, Jeff. It's not my best try but I try again. Have all a nice weekend my dear friends.

I have finally abandoned my usual auto settings for manual because I was missing the richness in my shots and having to do too much postwork to bring it out after-the-fact. I think you did a fine job here. It takes some practice but at some point, you become so much a part of the camera, you instinctively know where to put your settings making it so much easier and producing some great contrasting shots. Love this with its great dof and pov.

Looks great! The subject in the middle is very nicely isolated and draws our attention- the colours look perfect and the whites are all in range- a very nicely composed capture too. I am curious though, why ISO 200 instead of 100? It looks like there should have been adequate light. Its no big deal, its just that with each increase of ISO, it also increases the noise- which doesnt matter when posting at this size, but you may notice when the image is shown at a 1:1 ratio or printed large.
