Unrest in The Forest. A little special image for today. You might need to zoom for the details. I never used my favorite band as inspiration, for an image in my gallery...Untill today. #:o) Inspiration is from a song, by my favorite rock band of all times.. playing my favorite rock composition of all times..... A canadian power trio... These 3 super musicians and composers have been playing together in the same band.. For 40 years now. Most people don't even know them... even if their sales figures are very close to "The Beatles" and "Rolling Stones". The drummer write the lyrics. The bass player, plays bass guitar, keyboard(with his feet),and sing the lead vocal on the same time...more than most musicians can manage.#:o) He don't do it in this song though..but in several others. They create intelligent and progressive rock compositions..on a very high musical, rhytmic, and technical, and lyric level. My inspiration for the image of today.. comes from a song called "The Trees". A fantastic and very intelligent lyric....about an unrest between oak and maple trees, in a forest... The trees do not understand each others problems...and argue heavily.. But it is all metaphors..with a lot of parallels to humans....That is why i like it more than a little. Human behaviour are transfered to trees. Funny and brilliant. This is the 1978 live concert version of it: Click here to hear the 1978 version The same 3 guys playing the same song in a 2008 live concert version of it: Click here to hear the 2008 version The image is a tremendous amount of renders in Daz and Poser, all combined in Photoshop. The whole forest is constructed in Photoshop. The Lumberjack(ie) - Amber V4 by LMDesign. Thanks for looking and supporting my gallery.

A wonderful image Lars, you've truly caught the heart of the song with your image. I love the way you've shown the "spirit" or "soul" of the discordant trees, and the lumberjack who will silence it all. Stranely, I have felt discord in some areas of woods. Fortunately not at our Hollow. (-:

Well done with the scene - at first I thought it was something to do with a well known zombie chain saw wielding hero. Rush is a great band indeed.
