Description
I ran into this guy down in Florida while on vaction. I literally followed as he made his way around the young citrus trees in the yard. I tried to be steathy and to not interupt him. He made several returns the afternoon. This is the best out of all the photos I took of him. Obviously I am not really sure if it was male or female, just a generalization.

Nice grab, too bad the little bugger wouldn't hold still for just a bit! The wing movement is made really obvious by how crisp everything else is around him/it.

Oh we had plenty like this at the butterfly farm that we visited, Alan(artaddict2) and I visited the farm on a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. That was the main purpose of going there its the largest of its kind in the UK, Stratford being the birthplace of Shakespear was secondary. Lol. I took close on 250 photo's but at least 20 had wing movment on them and were discarded. Not 100% sure but from the markings it looks like The Orange Swallowtail(Papilio thoas) native of the Americas. Hope you manage to find another one that stays still for you. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
