Description

THE LONESOME EDGE How beautiful the stars that are Roaming across the sky How beautiful the reflection in The waves drifting by Neither have the breath of life Neither a voice to speak Neither can cure one that does Or a mind that's become weak And always in the night Their sadness does invade For this I'd give up consciousness For this we're known to trade A moment of fury bent by logic Separation then seeks its kind Waiting upon the lonesome edge To die without a mind With anger against the fool’s tongue Spinning sacred lies Twisting the weakened soul That selfishly cries Give them more, for they know not To think well for their creed I pity their uselessness When they plant another seed Oh lovely the wild tree Untouched in its wake Oh lovely the vine that chokes From nature's mistake Neither with an understanding Of its natural goal Neither can escape the fate Of the only one that knows And always in the trials of thought Is it questioned at all For this I'd give up consciousness For this I'd take the fall In a moment of fury bent by sorrow Separating me from my kind Waiting upon the lonesome edge To die without a mind With hatred against hands that hold Man’s foolish rock I live outside the circle From the rest of the flock And search to the sky instead For something they can’t see And man has not created it But man created me So tender are the soft eyes Smiling in the sun So tender is the heart that breaks When morning has begun Neither with lost memories That cling on to time As I wait upon the lonesome edge To die without a mind Full size image link: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i141/Shabetei/Renderosity/LONESOMEEDGELG.jpg

This is interesting and thought provoking. The rhyme, rhythm, and general flow are perfect as always. I have many different thoughts on this. The first is one I am unsure of whether or not it is true. Although, it does seem reasonable, often I've heard of other people older, express, that as we age, we tend to loose touch with general reality, and when we do that, Death is soon to follow. At least that is what I have heard. Anyhow, the point is, when I read this peace. That is exactly what crossed my mind. Thank you for sharing.
