Description

Created as usual in Bryce and inspired by my recent mountain vacation. Grass and flowers are from 3DPlants.com, and the butterfly model came from Ray Dream Studio. Rock textures are from my macro photo stash.

Beautiful, Kim. The detail is awsome. You did a magnificent job on the water and the depth of field effect really makes the difference. Care to share the technique? Gary

Thanks folks! The blur was done with Varifocus, by Andromeda. The rendering didn't take all that long..maybe 10 hrs. I have 384 MB ram and a PIII 450 mHz processor. I just sprang for a new 30 gig hard drive because the photo textures in particular make my files HUGE....Kim

Wow this is just so beautiful! =) The only thing keeping me from giving it a full 10 is the butterflies- they stand out as what keeps you from questioning wether or not it's a photo... but, they also help make the picture. =) LOL Just beautiful, man.

excellent work. Your puter must have way more memory than mine, cause I use those same plants and I can never get that many in a scene without it going slower and slower and slower
