Description

When I was in Bremen I had the privilege to dine at one of the oldest wine cellars in the world. The Ratskeller in Bremen is a traditional tavern in the cellar of the Town Hall of Bremen. Since it was erected in the year 1405, German wines were stored and sold there. A wine from Rüdesheim which is dated 1653, is stored here. Here you can see some of the wonderful barrels, which are masterpieces in themselves. Cheers! (chin-chin, salute! in Italian)

We fully enjoyed three and a half years in Germany. Got an opportunity to visit some Ratskellers...but not this one. The barrels are treasures in and of themselves. Fine collage.

Wonderful collage and background info Sandra. I wasn't familiar with this one, but you can do some great 'wine testing' in there.
