Description

Todays shot is the last one from Maulbronn...smile... This time its the big dukes granery just outside the monastery. This big 7 story building was build in 1200 and was used for storage space, wine press and wine cellar. This building in its might shows the economic power the monastery had. Thank you all for coming along with me on this tour through Maulbronn. Hope you all had a wonderful start into the week!

He who had the grain had the power:) Also made a good hedge against times of famine. Thanks Ulla...I've enjoyed every photo from Maulbronn.

gorgeous shot. The walls are so weathered and ancient looking. But those windows in the roof look newer. Wonderful work.

What stories this could tell, if only we could hear them. Like PJ, I am assuming the roof has been replaced those windows look too modern, but a very impresive building all the same.. Excellent work, I have enjoyed my tour of this wonderful place. Bravo!!!!!
