a very fine shot, connie, the hues of the house & the trees are in fine harmony, and your light is a fine later winter/early spring light (it could be late fall as well). You caught the light saturating everything from the side...very well seen, and very sensitive cropping. I like this piece alot. (And I'm curious what this little home was used for & who lived in it...)

Mark this house was built in 1967 for my grandmother after Grandpa died she refused to live in the nice Mobile home they had. She claimed Grandpa was still there and doing all the things he always did. Like lifting her feet and tickling them etc... Guess what ? It didn't matter because No matter where she moved he followed even into her late eighties when she could not move her feet up in the air on her own. No way with her arthiritis and no cartilage in her knees. He still would hollar at him at night to stop with a half giggle. And many other kinda incidents. My Grandma was my world and when she Died I was sleeping in the afternoon and her and grandpa was climbing a pair of stairs into the clouds and grandpa led the way taking Grandmas hand They both stopped and looked at me and said without words that Grandpa had come to take grandma now and I will see her again soon. Do not feel bad for they are together. I was awoken from my dream with a phone call in NY from my Mother that grandma had just passed away in CA. Grandma moved away from that little shack about 1977 the house does not have the same look as it once did and the little porch it had . But I still see Grandma and Great Grandma climbing the porch to the front door in their below the knee Black dresses with black knees highs and black leather shoes and their Sunday Black veils And their Rosary beads that they used nearly 3/4 of the day. They never sat down to rest without them and all through the night Grandma would say them in her sleep and never lose track where she was.
