Description

This my updated version of my Martian Hihglands pic I uploaded yesterday. Thanks for the great feedback, I took the advice and the image is better for it. The sky looks like it has a relatively thick atmosphere but it's an illusion. All the photographs I've seen of Martian skylines look like this. It's the dust. When you think about it, lower gravity, no rain, high winds, and extremely fine dust would make for some hazy skylines. But I toned it down a bit. Also made the sun much smaller and less "glow", more realistic now I think. Also, the rock is virtually sand/dust free because I thought that the sand and dust might be blown off the highland areas into the lower lands, just a daydream, probably not accurate. As always, any and all comments/suggestions welcome. ***update*** decided it needed a bit something more. Tried adding sand to the bottoms of the eroded craters. I might need to add some sort of transition texture but we'll see. Thanks!
