Description

Socks molted again yesterday, and I took this shot about 30 minutes afterwards. You can see how pink she is - absolutely gorgeous :-) Next time she's on Feylin's hand, I'll take a picture and upload it so you can see her to scale. For those of you who haven't been introduced, this is Socks, our Chilean Rose Tarantula.

Hmmmm I am really not a spider person. I don't hate them but I am scared stiff of them! I am breaking out in a layer of sweat just watching this! As an animal lover though, I must admit she is stunning looking. Does she bite?

She hasn't bitten us yet - and I doubt she will. The Chilean Rose is the best tarantula to own because they're so laid back :-)

never seen this type of tarantula before, she's a beauty. We had the more common type of tarantula, with the oranges. I wasn't afraid to handle her, but let me come across a little house spider and I used to freak out. (glad I'm over it now, my fear used to draw them to me like a magnet. Now I draw bees to me)

A great shot but for some reason I became all itchy looking at her though I dont think I have a phobia towards spiders.

WONDERFUL! I may have remarked before that I dare not keep one as a pet as I have become allergic to insect hair in later life! Such a shame.

Lovely to see your pet grow. I forgot to ask is it is a he or she? I am not too good at identifying with this image.
