Description

Hello all :o) Does anyone know if life gets any easier at some point cos I`m knackered :o).. I have reached a point in my picture taking where I dont like anything I have taken .I went out with a group from the camera club the other night and took 30 odd pics which I thought would make for interesting shots and there is`nt one that grabs me .I know its me though ,maybe I`ve just become upmyself since getting the trophy lol :o). This was taken a few weeks ago now when we went to the farm . Thanks for looking and take care . Mick

My old tutor said it is called 'divine discontent'. Those without talent don't feel it!

great shot mick. for 'the block' time heals.... you can take as many photos as you want, my experience is that it neither harms nor helps... time

LOL, Mick, I know exactly what you mean; I haven't done anything with my camera in over a week. But you caught this guy just fine!! And yeah, life does have a way of just knocking you flat sometimes.

This is hilarious! I love the bristly hair...makes him look so rough around the edges. :-) I had 2 months of frustration and discontent with myself this past winter. Not only were all my shots crap but everything I tried to do ended up less than spectacular. I used the time to read some books on postworking and doing some on-line tutorials. It didn't help much but it gave me something to do beside get frustrated with myself. :-) You'll find a crack along the way and start to pick at it until you open up another world you can explore with your camera.

Brilliant fun shot Mick, great detail of the curious eye and hair. Its the perfectionist in you, You reach a high standard and you want to go higher. I hear that most photographers(at whatever level) look for the elusive perfect image and when they think they have it someone else seems to have a better one lol. Keep em coming Mick, they are great.(Oh and I've never won a trophy in my life)

Unlike Alan I have won a couple of "Trophies" along lifes trail but not one for photography thats for sure. I have just started to return from an abyss myself, since I had my injections in January I have been down(cause they didn't work), I have started the long ascent back up to the land of the living. I would suggest a trip out with people of the same mind(photographers) but as you have mentioned you went out with a group and by the sound of it that made matters worse, I can't see this helping. The loss of relatives and the strain of looking after Jenny can't help things either Mick. I always say that there is always somebody worse of than me and just try and stay positive, just keep saying it can only get better. As for eeyore, those bristles on top of his head look like they've come off my yard brush. #;0) An excellent portrait of this adorable animal, the eye is spot on. Excellent work mate. Bravo!!!!! As you can see Alan and I went to a butterfly farm at Stratford-upon-Avon, we plan on going back again soon. Take care mate.

A wonderful capture...I've been going through a bit of the same disgruntled dissatisfaction myself. Hope it passes soon for both of us!
