Description

J.S.'s astrocargo had just taken off, when Adam blurted; "Why didn't you stop him, Eve? Maybe he'd have stayed here!" "No, it was impossible - Eve argued. " He should choose it, I can't force him at it. You know it well!" "It's hard to choose, when you don't know there's a choice first!" Adam remarked sardonically and added: "Since you didn't want to tell him the truth, if the alternative was drinking beer and fixing Peter's guns, I'd have left, too!" Then Adam quietly stated: "From our stories, I believe that J.S. was the only possible choice in thousand years. I don't think that the sacrifice was too hard for you to do! You are the queen, yours the choice!" Eve glowered at him: "Didn't you hear him? He's a soldier, he did an oath of allegiance. One can't serve two masters!" "I'd rather the woman decided, not the queen. Sometimes one has to listen the heart's desire. It's often right, even if reason doesn't understand it." Adam counterattacked. Eve shook her head, her shoulders heavy with the responsability. "He said he'll be back. I'll wait for him. I know he'll be back. He promised!" "There are circumstances he cannot control." Adam argued reasonably. "I hope you didn't sign our death sentence, Her Majesty!" Thank you to all people who appreciated the previous picture! Thank you for viewing and drop a note if you like! Well! Now you fill in the doubts and fears that the last scene didn't speak: Well done. And we see hints that Eve actually did have a heart for JS---though she doesn't come out and show it. (Her reserve is filled with implications and unspoken feelings, as is JS's.) And Adam puts it in pretty final terms. Like, "Nice going, E! Basically, we're screwed!" Very nicely worked out, and a fine follow up to the last installment. The image: Again, you use an angle to delineate the confrontation of the characters. And it's great to see the two statues, now in greater light. They're embedded into that rock. (You half-expect one of them to say, "mannnnn, have I got a headache!") (If I were sitting like that for eons, I'd be a little cranky by now...) And Eve---who we assume feels some emotional pain here---covers up any feelings with an accusatory stance and pointing finger. Fine characterization of the emotions of the scene. And the scene is colored by a chocolate reddish tone, with the ship flying away, aglow. Also, I like the lightning-bolt on the left---nice addition, as if nature were commenting on the scene. It's another fine image to accompany your episode. (I wonder, do you do all your images AFTER writing the episode, or is there a symbiotic relationship where the two feed into each other?) Nice lighting on Eve's coat and skirt, too: You work with those highlight tones nicely.
