Description
Gonna post this one anyway, seeing as how it took 19 hours to render. I'm not real happy with the outcome. The light looks to muddy under the trees and I don't like the texture on the trees themselves. About the only thing I like about it is the smokey light coming in on the right side of the piece. Other than that, it's pretty average.
Thanks for looking anyhow. Have a great Monday. I'm spending time with my new graduate today, so I'm not at the ol' salt mine. :)

Hey its not that bad! :-) Seems like some long renders come out less likable than other fast renders...guess that's what keeps us trying for better! :-) I do like your smoky look there also by the way!:-)

I understand what you mean about the longer renders. It's not as easy to go back and make quick fixes. However, this is a great looking fantasy pic, and your characters and setting are above the average work posted here (including my own stuff) by a fair margin. Excellent work!

Good image but I see what you mean there is a lack of depth in the middle and left compared to the right - and that really is nice looking lighting/atmosphere there. The background is to busy for the foreground to stand out. Also maybe she is to much in the middle - cutting the scene to much in half with the contrast of her skin/hair to the rest of the scene. - Thinking a camera angle - down the tree line with at least a third(2/3) of the scene that great misty lighting you have and thus more shadows to add depth and to make her and the dragon stand out. It looks like early morning winter light to me and the composition and details are brilliant! Amazing work and btw, if you don't point out the faults, we probably wouldn't even notice!

Regardless of the problems I'd say it came out great. I'd agree with you that the light on the right looks pretty cool. As for the rest, I suppose an artist is their own worst critic :P
