Description
This scene was inspired by the 3DS Max tutorial “Making Of Lost city” by Belgium modeler and animator J.F. Liesenborghs. The terrain was created in Bryce. All the models were created in 3DS Max and of my own creation. All the buildings were textured 100% in Bryce. The spacecrafts were modeled from images provided at Starshipmodeler.com. The crafts were texture mapped using UVMapper Pro. The textures were then created in Photoshop and were applied in the Bryce material editor. The patrol crafts are Viper Mark II’s and the smaller one is the XR-77A Spaceracer. The starfield was created using Universe (Diard Software). The ringed planet, nebula, and clouds were created by me in Photoshop. Edifice window textures from CGTextures were cut out and post worked in Photoshop as were the tiny people. All the models except for the XR-77A which came later, were arranged, composed and rendered in Bryce. The XR-77A was modeled and uv mapped after the initial render. It was arranged in the stripped down Bryce scene for expediency and an object mask created along with it. These were brought into Photoshop and layered into the final rendered scene. The entire image was then post worked and color corrected in Photoshop.
