A simple ray of light divides The difference in between time’s tides And only you will know such things While watching movement from your strings A thief can steal your heart away And break without a thought’s delay But love will take it’s time and ask Knowing it’s no simple task To keep you there beside its side Where every day is a surprise And do you listen to the wise? Who wait to learn from spoken time? The dancers learn from each wind chime Procrastinators set aside As prisoners have to wait and bide And creatures take their life of ride Do you listen as I speak? Or do you sit and turn your cheek? Philosophers ask questions why Conceit is asking only I Twist and turn within the fate Knowing you are never late Do not fear to be alone For you are still your only home Make sure you invite inside Your love in all its lovely pride And know to you I’ll never lie And that I may forever try As we whisper in our sighs And it’s okay if we do cry A simple ray of light divides The difference in between time’s tides Forgive me for being away for so long. There was a family emergency and I had to dog sit for my father. They have an Australian Cattle Dog, and I must say that he is a character in itself. He is an amazing dog that can make me laugh in the worst of times. While I was away, I wrote this poem for a friend of mine. I'm not sure if he will ever see it, but this poem and image is dedicated to Celvin.
