You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

THIS IS A NICE SHOT BUT IT'S ALWAYS SAD WHEN THEY TEAR DOWN SOMETHING IN THE NAME PROGRESS.++5

What a beautiful view they had, such a shame to see these places torn down. I guess the new owners will enjoy this view all the same. I love how you have given this the sepia colouring, it is kinda fitting. I'll keep the pub lunch in mind.

Nice treatment, the sepia goes along with the demolished building inspiring a very vintage looking photograph.

reminds me of a place I had a few years ago... went away for the weekend, came back and found the landlord had ordered a demolition, the demolishers got the wrong adress.....

Oh, this is priceless...I wonder what will be there in the future! I love shots like this. In Chicago we have a series of historical/photography books in the "Images of America" series. Each major city in the USA has its own portion of the series, but I have only ever seen the ones from Chicago. There is one called "Images of Chicago" which is very engaging. Many of the photos are similar to yours, only with Chicago in the background. I love the details in this, and the wonderful jumble of shapes. It's like there could be lost treasure in there somewhere, if the demolition team did not get to it first! I love your sepia treatment. It really gives these photos a vintage look. I have to show this to CoreyBlack. He'll love it!
