Description

No she isn't one of us. She's from a galaxy millions of light years from planet Earth. I have for a long time, as some of my earliest memories tell me, considered what lies in space and where other intelligent inhabitants could live. My Pop and I would spend many summer nights watching the sky, with Pop teaching me all about the constellations and our solar system. We would speculate and conjure all sorts of outlandish scenarios. In those days, the night skies were beautiful and clear, and one could gaze upon the multitude of bodies seemingly floating in a black ocean. Now I live in NYC, and I am lucky if I can see some of the planets in our solar system. I do miss not being able to see my friends now. I have no doubt that there are others out there. There are billions of galaxies in our universe, our Milky Way being just a somewhat insignificant one. I believe that life is abundant in space, perhaps not what we are accustomed to, but it's there. But I also believe that disparate and distant intelligent civilizations were never meant to meet each other. I am in no way a Creationist, but if my suspicions are true, could this be Intelligent design? I think I would be foolish to speculate one way or the other. So, even though she is not one of us, she also wonders about other life in the universe, just as I do... Beautiful character. I love the black light look of her skin, very alien and mysterious. I myself, often wonder about civilizations beyond our own world, many of whom have been around much, much longer than ourselves. Though, I believe it may be possible to reach out to them, very few are likely to be interested in us.
