Description
The photo is smaller and distant for the same reason I use a watermark on a very low percentage of photos. I trust you know why. I enjoy sharing my hobby results but do not like finding my photos on other websites etc without my permission. This has happened in the past and so I will most times post a slightly lower resolution photo, watermark the ones I offer to magazines in query, entered in contests,etc,or show the photo reduced. Splendid capture, a bit of confrontation going on here. I suppose I would feel the same way if I ever found other people using any of my work, I can't see what other photographers would gain from that.

I can understand your reasoning for your watermark completely, in fact I am really surprised you dont use it somewhere in ALL your photos. You spend YOUR time and hard earned money on your hobby, and are kind enough to share with us folks these beautiful photographs. I am sure you would be furious to find that someone else had used YOUR photo's anywhere or anyway without your permission!!! I think yesterday's photo was still completely viewable and still magnificent just the way it was. Don't appologize GB...you have every right!!! Hope you are having a good day :)

How wonderful to witness the rites of other species! I completely understand the watermark issue also, my remark was only regarding the placement. My own stuff isn't good enough for someone to want to steal yet, but I sort of hope to have to deal with that someday.
