Description

Hi All! After several months of computer issues (loss of hard drives and ALL data, MANY reformats, and general lousy operation) I think I finally have my machine back up to snuff! And I knock on a HUGE piece of wood when I say that! When they say that dust in your machine is a big problem, they mean it! And don't forget to remove those parts that you normally wouldn't remove except to replace... My main hard drive had nearly 1/4 inch of dust on it's circuit board (6 or so years worth) which I found after I got completely fed up with it and yanked it out with the expectation of purchasing a new drive later in the day. Surprise, surprise! When I dusted it off and plugged it back in, it started up like it was new again! I was more than pleased- especially since I hadn't paid someone to fix it only to have them tell me it was my poor "housekeeping"! :o) 'Nuff said about that, the photo is one of the many spring visitors that come to my window feeder. Chipping sparrows are very small, and most of the ones that have visited seem quite content to just hang out and snack- watching me as I watch them. Thanks for having a peek, and I hope to catch up in the galleries soon! Take care! :o) ~A EDIT: On the computer issue- Yes, I had dusted the parts I could access inside several times over the years- I just try not to mess with those parts that shouldn't need removing unless you're replacing it. If I can mess something up, I will!

I try to take my computer apart every couple months or so and clean out the dust. I've had bad luck with computers in the past, so I decided to go the extra mile, just to make sure that this computer lasts. If you have pets, smoke (or allow others to do so) or the computer's near a window (especially if you're on the ground floor and/or the outside is sandy or otherwise dirty - relatively speaking, that is), it helps to take the time and clean the 'puter more regularly. Compressed air helps, just don't blow it on your fans without holding them in place to avoid prematurely wearing out the bearings at high RPM. I also use small paintbrushes and even some brush meant for makeup (but was never used with it) to help clean things. I don't really watch birds very often. Last time I really paid attention was when a robin would sit on the fence in a friend's backyard I was working on and hop down when I moved back to grab some worms to take back to her nest atop the deck above. And there was the time a squirrel was brave enough to try to snatch an egg - it was met by a pair of pissed off robins (including the same patient one that would wait for me to dig up another section in the yard) chasing it as it scrambled through the trees, a fight joined by another bird that decided to assist the robins. Birds don't come by where I live very often, just sometimes in the morning to raid the lawn. When they are around, it's my cat who becomes the watcher, doing a half squeak, half chirp of her own as the birdies go about their business from afar. Oops, rambling over...

Glad you solved your computer issues. Yes dust and furballs will cause problems. It is a good idea to get your machine cleaned on a regular basis. Beautiful shot of the bird.

These birds appear to be so small and delicate and yet they are sturdy and capable in every way with a survival instinct that makes humans look frail. Stunning shot.

Superb this catch my Beautiful the birds source of life. Cheer and mile mercies. You know my Beautiful I believe that the people are really afraid of a PC. But lol is not needed… an hard drive can cease constantly and that will not be because of dust. It is for that i it is necessary to make safeguards at every week as that work will not be lost months and to re-examine well the safeguard because the engraver ace also of the failures. Me I do not have a problem , I repair the PC lol…. But I am not better for that. I let mile to you smile PS You can to add a fan to accentuate heat with the outside of your PC ok ((5++)) Superbe cette prise ma Belle Les oiseaux source de vie .

Super sharp capture. A friend of mine at work built me a new pc. Still had my old Hard Drive and a dvd rom. He put that in the new pc as well. Saved me about R1500.00.
