This is a great compo, I like the way it has 3 clear horizontal parts. Bill finds it desolate, I find it comforting and attractive, I suppose because I love similar places where I live.

When I was a child we lived many years in wheat country and in between wheat were miles of desert like area with tumbleweeds and wonderful grasses and wildflowers. I spent many hours along with some friends, hiking the hills behind my grandmothers house. Then you would find an occasional farmstead abandoned and falling apart and that I suppose is where I learned to love old things. Today all you find there are power lines and million dollar homes that overlook the valley that has her home and all the apple orchards, then the river, the town and the mountains. Sorry to be so long winded but I wanted you to know how nostalgic and beautiful this image is for me. Thank you Nikolay!

Yet another gorgeous offering from you. Farmsteads are universal in that they look largely alike, no matter where they are. This has a wonderful quality that defies time...the sepia tones do it. It could be something from 50 years ago or yesterday. I like that quality. fantastic work. It has a wistful, almost dream-like quality and tons of gentle sensitivity.

Here too, in the country one often sees scenes like this. But it takes a special eye to capture them so beautifully.
