Description

This is what I've been working on for a few days now (Not enough time in the day!); experimentation on using LDP. I haven't yet, and found a few things on their website to try out-it would have worked beautifully had the building been placed elsewhere in the piece. I had to post his shadowing on the floor as well as work a prior rendered picture of him onto the background so we could see him. Otherwise-he was alllllll blackened in. But I've learned quite a bit from this week long experimentation and plan on using what I've learned in the future, so...all is not lost! Thank ye for lookin'! :)

Not exactly sure what LDP is, but it sounds like one of those lighting things that you can't move from what you said about the building. My bright idea, which works in similar circumstances, was to drop a null object at the zero point, and then parent everything to that. You can now rotate the entire scene under the lights by rotating the null. Hope that helps even slightly. Oh, and nice picture. :)

Very cool for having to do postwork...but you really can't tell. I like his whole swagger and the POV. I have played with the LDP2 but can't stand the 40 minutes it takes just to collect the 10 million shadow maps for the lights.

Thank you everyone! LPD and LPD2...Light Dome Pro. I understand about waiting on the shadow mapping-there were over 45 sky lights that I had to wait for with the second rendering pass (This took three, one for sky lights, one for sun, one for ambient). Next time I'm either going to have them at none, or take some out and see what the next piece does.
