Description

More of Brittany's 21st birthday glasses. .......... I can't help it - I'm just obsessed with glass! When I started this more than a year and a half ago, I really did think it was going to be a six-image series! There are now somewhere around 50 images in my gallery that feature light and glass. That doesn't count the ceramic pots at the nursery I can't stop photographing, either! Oh well. They say you should make art that pleases you and not worry what other people think about it, so you're stuck with the light and glass thing. :P :) Oh btw ... none of that has anything to do with the title. "Diminishing Returns" is in reference to the depth of field. (Just in case you thought I was chickening out!) LOL!

Beautiful shot of these tall and reflective glasses. Glad you explained your title. I was getting worried that your series might be drawing to a close...heaven forbid!!! BTW, did you have something to do with the decision to buy these glasses for Brittany's 21st birthday in the first place? One way or the other, Brittany will enjoy them in the future but all of us get to enjoy them first:)

Glass has its appeal, and as my friend Victor would say of this: "It is enough interesting," which--coming from him is high praise. He's like that. The color grabs me; I love that warm amber, and the liquid quality of the glass and light. The whole thing shimmers, and I can see the appeal of photographing glass. There's something sensual about it, something that makes glass seem...alive. Again, this is a great work, and I love the elongated cropping.
