Description

Offered to the US Air Force as an advanced prop driven trainer, the tender failed in favour of the Pilatus P9, which eventually emerged as the Texan (replacement for the Harvard). Then this brilliant little aircraft went on to sell itself to other airforces all over the world. Uses a tiny, extremely powerful Garrett gas turbo engine with a five bladed prop. ( This is not a piston type engine). The RAF uses a version of this machine made by Short's. Very noisy, very fast, frightens the horses!
