SURLAR IV Infect Spaceport - Hanger 0312-C Northern Hemisphere 0622.003 Standard Time -------------------------------- Colin shut the HUMVEE down, Nadine looked over toward the flight line slipping her coffee cup into the holder, she wasn't fond of the Human drink. As Colin exited the rumbling vehicle, he smiled and was glad they figured out how to get the vehicle inside the Eagle's cargo hold. With tired eyes from the long night's flight into Surlar; he at least was able to catch an hour or two of shut eye in the starships lounge watching some really cute Elanorian on the RG-News feeds until Nadine woke him. They stepped out of the vehicle and walked around toward the front, Colin with his hot coffee in hand; the roaring growl of a starship lifting off from the flightline out in front of them caught their eyes. The twin suns of the system were bright this morning as they slowly crawled into the air along the open horizen blanketed by the wide open grass covered range land, Colin slipped his Raybands on as they watched the starship climb into the air toward space. ... Beep ... Beep ... Surlar IV reminded him a lot of Texas, the vast oceans of waist high grass and rolling hills seemed endless. Colin reached down into the small pouch on his belt to pull out his comm-set. It was about time for Mordan and Gunther to check in; he figured they'd be in the system by now flying in Mordan's beloved Vapor Trail. On their way to meet Nadine and Colin to pass off the cargo before the couple launched in the Eagle for the long flight to the Terran System. Colin smiled as he sipped his coffee. It had been over four years since he had orgionally left his home planet, it was good to be headed home .... ============================ Hi all - Thanks to the inspiration of others, I went all out on this image. - Tiered image, the background is 3 rendors to create the back drop along with about a week in Hex to create the starship. - Really pushing my knowledge of post work in PS3. - First image with two main characters from the book I'm writing. This is also a redue of the previous "Morning Rise on Surlar IV". Thanks all for the inspiration to push myself harder and further. I hope you enjoy. :)
