Description

On Saturday Ann and I went out to Snoqualmie Falls and goofed around all afternoon, and then came back to town and had Greek food for dinner as an early birthday celebration. (I was going to take pictures of dinner ... but ... ummm ... we ate it.) :) Snoqualmie Falls was used in the TV series "Twin Peaks," so any David Lynch fans out there might recognize it. The flow here is about medium, I suppose. In late summer there's quite a bit less water going over the falls, and in the winter the water can run all the way across the top, obscuring even the rocks in the middle of the falls. You can check out a short video of the falls at flood stage here if you're interested.

Excellent composition of this waterfall with the steam rising at the base, but a little bit overexposed in the upper side of the water, and with almost no details on the rocks in the right part. Overall, a nice photo!

Lol @ Andrea! Beautiful shot Tara, I have one nearly the same vantage point but taken with the higher water factor. I really like this tho because it shows the some of the beauty of the rockery there as well! I didn't see Twin Peaks so did not realize they used the falls in it, interesting fact! Happy day!!!

Wow, you got a sunny day to see it with? I don't think in all the times I've been there that the sky hasn't been mostly to all cloudy and/or raining. Wonderful capture, I love the color tones in the water. And happy birthday!
