Description

These two Elderberry bushes, I have placed together in the garden just for their coloured leaves. I have always had a thing for red/purple leaved plants. Now I seem to be collecting silver or yellow as companions for them. These cut leaf and coloured forms of the elderberry family do well in windy and bright spots where the Acers suffer from leaf burn and look grotty. They can also be pruned heavily to keep in shape and respond with vigour!

I pick the wild elderberries if I can before the birds feast on them. Well done
