Yesterday I posted the original version of this image, "Conversation". Several of your comments showed to me that I had failed some of my targets with that image and so I removed it and reworked it. This is the result. For the few of you who saw the original one, I hope you prefer this one (at least I surely do :-)). So, thanks for your comments, they're a great way to improve.
In my original introductory note, I wrote that I needed a break from the complex and 'strange' images that I've been doing lately. This time I wanted the pure and innocent joy of a green space. :-)
DOF made in Vue. Grass is a freebie from bigbraader (thanks!).

This Image achieves its goal of simplicity very well. It has a clarity of subject matter - two similar items(flowers) interacting across the multitude of green grass blades. A content and happy image. But I liked yesterday's image better. It had all that but also some mystery, some complexity. Not all jumped at me at once, at the first glance. The bird in the shadow was not a focal point, but made me think - is it just a witness to the flower's happy conversation? was the bird contemplating which of the lovely flowers to converse with? Are the flowers competing for the birds attention or excluding it from their 'friendship of similars'? Maybe I over interpreted it, but I find it nice to have an additional level even in a simple image.
