Love the arts in all their forms: Fine Art, Music, Writing, etc. A traditional painter for many years, my introduction to painting on the computer came in 1999. As time goes by I find myself spending more and more time with my tablet and pen in hand. Guess I could have a worse addiction. Since the begining of 2006 I have immersed myself into the wonderful world of photography. I have learned so much in that time and feel ready to share my stuff with you now. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but stay tuned for a daily flood of my recent captures, :)
BIO
Hello everyone! My name is John Minelli. For as long as I can remember I have had a love of the arts in all of their forms and have been striving to be the be the best that I can be. Even though I have been creating art for many years, I still feel like an infant. I find it fascinating that every time that I pick up a brush, pencil or tablet and pen I still learn something new. Although I live in Savannah, GA, USA., I have a great love of Europe; especially Italy. I spent several years working in the Middle East and took several vacations in Europe. I fell in love with Rome and plan on going back to Italy as soon as possible.

An excellent image. You can see the wisdom in those birds when you watch them long enough.

A black bird is a very difficult subject, and I don't think a better exposure could be made for this shot, so kudos to you! It also shows how inadequate either film or sensors are when compared to the sensing capability of the eye - we have an amazing capability to see see detail in bright and dark at the same time. I keep trying to get a good shot of a crow but I never capture what I can see.
