Description
An early morning shot of this sunny beauty.
Ranunculus acris (Meadow buttercup, Tall buttercup) is one of the more common buttercups across Europe
Buttercups usually flower in April or May but flowers may be found throughout the summer especially where the plants are growing as opportunistic colonizers, as in the case of garden weeds. The petals are often highly lustrous, especially in yellow species.
In the interior of the Pacific Northwest of the United States the buttercup is called "Coyote’s eyes" In the legend Coyote was tossing his eyes up in the air and catching them again when Eagle snatched them. Unable to see, Coyote made eyes from the buttercup.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and in my garden this is called an evil weed! LOL! They're so invasive ... you just can't get rid of them. It's such a pretty flower, though, and your photograph is beautiful!
