Description
Daz Dynamic clothing test in Carrara.
This has not been an easy test, I saved the Daz file only to find it would not open in Carrara (suprise suprise)
I exported the dress with the figure as an obj, replace V4 only to find I could not get the dress to fit perfectly.
I the took the dress to the model room to add thickness and used HolyForests cloth shader on it.
DOF added in post.

Wonderful work, great expression and pose! I really like the dress textures.

what do you expect from daz? they give away a P.O.S like daz studio and make everything for it then give the people who paid for Carrara nothing!!! Still not a bad image considering :)

Excellent scene here Tom, outstanding work

The realism of Carrara's render engine is quite apparent here, lightyears beyond the firefly render engine for sure! A good result from the test. I do notice a bit of blocky/blotchy-ness to the skin, particularly on her face- is this from severe JPEG compression and artifacting or perhaps some settings in the (I am assuming Radiosity) render controls?

The dress looks awesome! You need to increase the quality settings for the global illumination tho.

That sounds like one serious pain in the rear. Kudos to you for having so much patience. The end result is quite nice looking, especially like the increased thickness you added.
