Description

Going for a James Kirk as played by William Shatner. I'm not quite there yet, but I thought I'd post the WIP. Who likes the new movie? Ken :)

I love the new movie ^^ And I think it could be great, if there comes a new one in cinema with the same artists. Original Kirk & Co aren't to be diplaced, but the new one make me feel like the Star Trek Classic Series :) Like your Artwork, its great, would be Jim :)

the hair is awesome the forhead shape is perfect eye shape and position are quite good. make the irisis a lighter shade- build up the eyelashes on the transmap - shatner, in the day, had very long femmy eyelashes. the nose is a little too bulbuous. you have a puff in the jowel in the center of the jawline that should be trimmed down. hard to tell but you might want to take some of the general bulk out of the chin. totally lose that puffy area just outside the corner of the mouth. Tiberius rules. can he throe a two fisted punch? this work is coming along great. there happens to be a really good star trek TV show feel to the render ...the color ...etc.

For a work in progress, this is quite good. You've got so many elements already working in your favor, so just keep pluggin' away. I have to say that as a "Star Trek Nerd" I'm entranced by the whole work in general, but in particular, the smaller details: the stitching around the insignia, the background computer terminals and data displays...the whole piece works well.
