Renderosity has opened a whole new world to me, its a fantastic place and have had some brilliant support from many new friends.  I retired from work very early through ill health so I took to photography from the very basics.
Since joining I have grown in confidence with my photography and I now think because of RR that I take it a little more seriously. I started off here using a Fuji Finepix 6500fd, it took some great pictures but I'm hooked now so I have now(April 2008) bought a DSLR SAMSUNG DX10 and having fun learning the settings etc. ( these things take me a while lol)ÂÂ
I am so fortunate to be with a wonderful person in my life, Sylvia. She is not just my partner but of course she's also my best friend. Previously I have been married but seperated a few years ago and have two fantastic children. I NOW have two fantastic grandchildren !!!
My interests are photography, i have had a dabble at Acrylic painting, and I enjoy long walks out in the countryside.      I also have an interest in anything historical.  I want to have a sample of just about everything there is in photography, who knows what the future holds!
Thanks for calling by.    Alan

My mother wore 3 red foxes in a stole. Each one bit the rear of the one in front and there was a clasp on the head of one end and ring on the rear of the other end so you could hook it together in a continuous ring around your shoulders. When she died I got them. I remember riding home late at night from the ever-popular holiday cocktail parties, sitting in her lap in the front seat of the car, dead of winter, snow gently falling as daddy navigated the slippery streets. The old Ford's heater blasted out on my toes and I'd bury my nose deep in the foxes around mother's neck. Before we got home, I'd be fast asleep with the feel of warm fur on my cheek. ah...see how you photo brings back such wonderful memories?

Great shot, Alan, and amusing to notice the modern plastic water bottle that is out of place with the 40's fashion! Well seen and taken!
