Description

The day Ann and I went to Snoqualmie Falls was gorgeous and sunny and warm, and the parking lots were full. (If you've ever been there, you might be interested to know we parked in the very top lot and hiked down!) Everybody was happy and mellow in the sunshine, and we quickly realized we were in the minority there! Nearly everyone at the park was a tourist. I hope you can tell from the shots I took that we love tourists, and that the caption is a joke, and a photography pun to boot! I would hate for anyone to be offended or think I was seriously considering doing harm to our lovely visitors. Western Washington is such a beautiful area, and we have tourists here all summer long. I will admit we love them more in May than we do in September, but that's probably true everywhere. Besides, in May the sun is just starting to shine once in a while, and in September we're all hot and tired. Anyway ... I thoroughly enjoyed shooting these tourists! :D .......... Zoom is probably worth your while. I left this nice and big so you can take a closer look.

Good shots. I think we all need to add people in our images more often. Without fail there is someone in every photo of a crowd that leaves you wondering. The burnt orange robed person in the upper left, the stoic baby in the upper right, the sun glassed guy in the lower right, ...well, you get the idea:) Well done Tara!

Really interesting!! I spent quite a while examining each person....at least they all are suitably clothed at this attraction, ours often are not!

I thought the bottom right was amusing because of one fellow's nose running right into the other's - make it look pretty hooked, sort of like an eagle's beak! Happy Birthday BTW!

Yeah! the license and tags are very expensive and then you're limited to only 4 a day! Great shots even though you exceeded your limit

Wonderful collage. You've indirectly shown the beautiful attraction of the falls, as well as a peaceful gathering of people enjoying their day.

All those people in the viewing platform is the reason I generally shoot from other spots here; besides the fact that there is invariably someone standing right where I want to be, I've developed a bit of a case of shaky knees when I look down from great heights. I know that they built that thing REALLY strong, but I can't help feeling that it's about to tumble down the cliff because of all the weight. I'm glad you had a sunny day for your visit, did you do the steep hike down to the river?

We get our share of visitors too - mostly around the Capitol and in our Old Town and during the State Fair. They are such a fun bunch. :-) I hear people talking in so many languages and so many different types of dress. It's great! So this this collage. :-)

Snoqualmie?! I didn't realize you lived up there. Do you have any idea how many times my friends and I went there to watch the sunrise? Ahhh...memories. Thanks for the blast from the past!
