Hard to believe I'm the 1st to comment on this image. I like that you've gone for the impact of the eye against the water and sky. The colours work really well together and the reflections are a nice touch, I'm not so sure about those stars though. As for it maybe being 'kinda dumb' well I just don't think so - if you don't experiment with ideas you might end up finding yourself getting into a rut.
